Metha is a Toronto-based artist working primarily through sculpture and installation. His practice examines the body as a site where systems of authority, memory, and power become socially and politically inscribed. Drawing from personal experience and critical perspectives, he investigates how institutional structures such as the family, education, religion and the state, shape bodily experience and social consciousness through recurring cycles of power and control, perpetuating a vicious cycle across generations.

Grounded in sculptural thinking and material transformation, Metha approaches materials not only as physical substances but as carriers of memory, social meaning, and political force. Working through material transformation, Metha reveals how power is exercised and how vulnerability, violence, and exclusion are produced, opening space for alternative ways of being and perceiving.

Metha holds a BFA in Sculpture and a second BFA in Cross-Disciplinary Art from OCAD University. He is currently pursuing a MFA in Visual Arts at York University. His work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, festivals, and art fairs internationally, and is held in public and private collections. He has participated in artist residencies and has received several awards recognizing his artistic practice.
