Metha is a Southeastern Anatolian-Canadian visual artist working primarily through sculpture and installation. His practice examines the body as a site where authority, memory, and power become socially and politically inscribed.. Drawing from personal experience and, critical  perspectives,  he investigates how institutional structures shape bodily experience and sustain a vicious cycle of authority across generations.

   Grounded in sculptural thinking, Metha approaches objects and materials as traces of the recurring cycle through which authority acts upon the body. Through sculpture, installation, and material transformation, he reveals, how power is exercised and how vulnerability, violence, and exclusion are produced, opening space for alternative ways of being and perceiving. 

   Metha holds a BFA in Sculpture and a second BFA in Cross-Disciplinary Art from OCAD University. He is currently pursuing a MFA in Visual Arts at York University. His work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, festivals, and art fairs internationally, and is held in public and private collections. He has participated in artist residencies and has received several awards recognizing his artistic practice.
